Default Roleplaying group in GW roleplaying game.

The things I want from any MMORPG is to play a role in an imense world, filled with characters, and interact with them. I want to develop relations with those players, and journey with them in an epic adventure, each playing our role in a fun and entertaining way. I want to feel I am the hero that world needs, and that I am not alone in an so called "Massively Multiplayer" game.
So I am trying this. An in-game Guild Wars roleplay, from the first quests of Prophecies to the last ones, with a faithful roleplaying party, that wouldn't break the rules of roleplay, or ruin the epic adventure that the game is supposed to be.Am I asking for much? Maybe.
How are we going to do this? I'm not sure yet. But here are my first thoughts: we will start new characters and get them to post searing, where we arrange a meeting in a unpopulated district of Ascalon, and start questing and doing missions from there, on normal mode, roleplaying all the way.
The Game Master will be the game itself, we will use the quests and missions as a support for roleplaying. We will decide the order of the quests, and we will make a way so the quests are related with our characters, that the character we roleplay NEEDS to do that thing. The characters personalities should evolve during the experience.
How do we start? Well I will post here my characters biography and anyone who wants in should post their biographies here. Note that the history of GW is the one during the Prophecies campaign. The biography should contain a character description, his history, the class, and hopefully a screenshot. When and IF we gather enough people (4-6 for starters) we will start discussing about this: the time we'll play, how we would make our character's destinies converge etc.
It is possible not to get any replies. It is possible to get a dozen of replies saying how stupid, noob, selfish I am and how bad I type in English. Or I could start the most fun experience in my gaming history, along with some great people.
Wait for my biography.
PS: I don't know if I posted in the right part of the forum. I don't know if there is a right part of the forum fot this. But hey, it's roleplaying, I think I got this right.
PPS: Another IMPORTANT thing i forgot to mention: our characters should have DIFFERENT PROFFESIONS, for diversity. A ropleplaying group made of 4 warriors and two monks won't be too fun, would it? So if someone posted a biography of a character, please don't make a biography for a hero of the same proffesion.
I am sorry for all pompous language used in this post.

Trauling through prophecies for fun? Someone needs more time outside, and this is what guilds are for. Guildwars is about as epic as your skillbar and graphics card, it has about as much depth as a puddle but that's how most people like it, me included. Go play WoW for 'epic' adventures, or hell go join the army.

Because as we know Prophecies and Factions run almost parallel to each other.
Name: Sam Lueshna
Profession: Mesmer/Necromancer
Age: 22 at the Start of Prophecies

Sam grew up in the Kingdom of Ascalon marvelling at each and every hero who he would meet. As he matured and aged he could never decide what he would like to become when he was old enough. His initial intentions were to become an Elementalist after being saved from a bear by one when he was five. When he was ten he witnessed a Ranger tame a similar bear and decided he wanted to become one with nature. However his final decision didn't come into place until the start of the Char Invasion. He witnessed a Mesmer die a martyr holding back a group of Char from destroying an outlying village. He went over to the Mesmer's dying corpse and spoke to her as she died. She asked him to continue her legacy and defend Ascalon from all who would seek to destroy it. Passion in his heart Sam swore that he would do what she had asked of him and then went to Ascalon City to prepare for his induction into the army...
We're two so far, and Mesmer is out.

I have an idea, I am currently leveling my mesmer so that I can be at the point where we join the Academy

You and me could join parties together and enter the academy at the same time and that could be how we've met, the other characters can then be friends we meet in Post-Searing.

Yeah, that's a good idea. But the thing is I want to create my character last, so you can pick whatever profession you want, and we can have our diversity. If I had picked up first, I probably would have choosed the Mesmer, and you couldn't play your favourite profession. I don't want to risk that with other possible joiners.
So we can't, but you can go to post-searing, or wait untill 2 more players are in so I can choose my profession. It's your call.

Oh my god I'm so sorry. I wish you'd have said lol. But its nice to know I'll be playing with someone who puts others before himself and thats what I like to hear, I'll be editting my backstory shortly to make it better, lets hope we get more people.
I am changing my profession, its not fair on you and I already have a level 20 mesmer and I really don't want another one. I will either be an Elementalist or a Necromancer I haven't decided yet but I think its only fair that you can be a mesmer.

Umm...no! What? Why? Well, OK as long as you come up with a backstory as good as that and you enjoy playing your character.
Also, I'll post on other GW forums, since no-one else seems to want to join here. But this thread still remains open.

Can I be a foreign character who has come to assist you? If so here is my character.
Name: Geriand Lysela
Profession: Dervish/Mesmer
Background Story: His father a dervish of legendary skill Geriand sought nothing more then a chance to follow in his fathers footsteps. However things didn't turn out how the two of them had intended. During one of the corsairs strongest attempts at conquering Istan Geriand's father died while battling against the Paragon commander of the corsair fleet. Geriand rushed to his fathers side and without meaning to used mighty magic enfueled with passion and rage which stripped the Paragon of his enchantments and when the paragon tried to strike Geriand down he fell over cursing in pain. Seeing his moment to strike Geriand lifted his scythe into the air and lifted it above his head. With a mighty battle cry Geriand warped into a strange creature and cut down the corsair. The Istani Guard who saw Geriand's form ran in teror and soon he was left battling the Corsairs on his own. After 4 days and 4 nights the Sunspears finally mobilised and arrived to see the corsairs dead and Geriand lying unconcious with the Avatar of Lyssa floating above him.
"Care for this boy and induct him into your ranks, one day he will make a difference."

5 years later the boy now a man Geriand visited a shrine of Lyssa and prayed for guidance. Lyssa's Avatar appeared before him and revealed his lineage to him. He is half-krytan and was not originally born of this land. His mother was a Mesmer and it was her dead spirit which had protected and enveloped the boy that night. Worse news came to Geriand's ears when he heard of the undead threat currently plaguing his true home. The Avatar also told him that his destiny was intertwined with that of ther Ascalonians and that they must not die. Anger tore through his heart as he ran to the Consulate Docks and purchased a charter to Lion's Arch. When he arrived he was met with a bigger shock. The Kingdom of Ascalon had fallen to the Charr and was slowly and surely being destroyed. Horrified that he may have arrived too late Geriand set off by himself braving the harsh Shiverpeak Mountains and the Charr infested Ascalonian dead lands before collapsing in front of Sardelac Sanitairum in exhaustion. Taken in to be cared for Geriand begun to give Lyssa's blessing to the weak of mind. One day two adventurers walked in, a ranger and a mesmer. A strange energy radiated around the two of them. Curious, Geriand left the Asylum in secret and begun to prepare for their meeting.

Sure, but you must be around the same level (10 max), so we don't have a big level gap.

Dervish and Mesmer are taken.
Also, here's my biography:
Name: Edward Cornley
Profession: Me/Mo
Cornley was born near Foible's Fair, as the son of a merchant. Since he was young he was trained in the art of Illusion by his uncle, Vassar. He left Ascalon before the Great Searing, travelling and learning, in regions like Kyrta and Elona. There he learned of a mystical, interior power that he possesed. He could heal people just with his toughts, his energy being infinite. But, strange he fell that this tremendous healing power is inspired not by the old gods, but of a being of Greater Power.
Edward is seeking more knowledge of his powers and the source of them. He returns in Ascalon for the first time since he left.
(So, we can say that our characters know each other from Cornley's travels to Elona. But I still don't understand what's your Dervish's job is in Ascalon).

Neither does he. Thats all the Avatar told him, go and help the Ascalonians. That means that he will assist Rurik's expedition and eventually go to the Eye of the North and assist the Ebon Vanguard.

Ooh, this looks fun.

Name: Harah Lindrae
Profession: R/W

Born to a simple woodsman and his wife near the foothills of the Shiverpeak mountains, there is little to enough to say of the girl's early life. Being raised so far from any established civilization she spent much of her time trailing around after her parents, picking up extensive wildlife survival knowledge along the way. When she was old enough, Harah was allowed to take her father's battered old bow and quiver of arrows to hunt for food. She was reasonably skilled at the task, and was, for a time, quite sufficient for the task of hunting down animals or fending off her little homestead from the odd Stone Summit troublemakers who got it in their heads to attempt to drive them off.
Since the Great Searing, Harah has managed to work her way though life as something of an escort and tracker, aiding refugees across the treacherous Shiverpeak Mountains. Not the most exciting or glorious line of work, but it pays.

As soon as metroid will finish his background story, we must set some things clear, like the rules, where do we meet, etc. We could do this on the forum, but we'd have to post too much, so I recommend using messenger.
So please give me your messenger ID's, and we'll start a conference. Here's mine: [email protected].
